Pediatric Care All Over Arkansas
Did you know that UAMS College of Medicine faculty members provide patient care at Arkansas Children’s Hospital? In addition, our doctors provide a wide range of pediatric services in more than 35 subspecialties around Arkansas in locations such as the Schmieding Developmental Center in Lowell and the James L. Dennis Developmental Center in Little Rock. We also support pediatric patients with our pediatric outreach clinics, the Kids First program for at-risk preschoolers and our Centers for Children pediatric subspecialty healthcare in Northwest Arkansas.
Pediatric Specialties and How We Collaborate
Since UAMS is a teaching hospital, our expert doctors offer the latest treatments for routine pediatric care as well as services in many subspecialties. Our subspecialty doctors have completed training in both pediatric medicine and at least one other specialty. This specialized training and experience meets the unique needs of infants and children within the specialty.
UAMS doctors also work with staff at Arkansas Children’s Hospital on several cross-disciplinary specialty services, including:
- Transplant Services
- The Asthma Care Center
- Sports Medicine PLUS
- Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) Services
