About Dr. Saadi

Clinical Biography

Robert Saadi, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at UAMS. Dr. Saadi is the Director of the Division of Otology & Neurotology and specializes in the treatment of all forms of hearing loss and chronic ear disease. He performs advanced otologic procedures including cochlear implantation, bone anchored hearing aids, stapedotomy, mastoidectomy, ear canal reconstruction, and tympanic membrane repair. Dr. Saadi also treats Ménière’s Disease both medically and surgically and works in collaboration with Neurosurgery to perform lateral skull base resections of acoustic neuromas. Through his clinical expertise and compassionate care, he helps patients improve their hearing and dizziness disorders and overall quality of life. Dr. Saadi is an expert in pediatric ear surgery and also leads the Otology Division and Cochlear Implant Program at Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

Academic Biography

Dr. Robert Saadi is an Assistant Professor and fellowship-trained physician in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at UAMS. Dr. Saadi obtained his BS in neuroscience with a chemistry minor at the University of Pittsburgh. He then completed his MD at Penn State University College of Medicine and his Otolaryngology residency at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Dr. Saadi won the HMC Department of Surgery Award for Excellence in Surgery in 2016, and is an Alpha Omega Alpha Member. Dr. Saadi then completed his Advanced Otology fellowship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2022. He is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He also serves as the Associate Program Director for the Otolaryngology Residency at UAMS.

 

He was awarded a prestigious Centralized Otolaryngology Research Efforts (CORE) grant by the American Head and Neck Society and has published over 60 peer-reviewed manuscripts in his field. He has attended many national and international scientific conferences to present his research and authored numerous book chapters. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and a member of the Arkansas Society of Otolaryngology.
