He appeared to have already formed an opinion of my daughters concerns when he came in the room. Stating her test results looked pretty normal. He stated he thought her problems were because of her poor posture and her slouching her shoulders. His approach with stating that was not what would be expected from a medical professional. He said she had no scapular winging which was not true and that tennis does not involve over the head or overhand force that would cause the problems she has been having. That was a very false statement and clearly the doctor has no knowledge of competitive tennis. We were thankful she was referred for a nerve study, but the doctor did not listen to my daughters concerns and it felt like he did not believe her that she is having pain from her neck, clavicle, and back area. For whatever reason seemed very opposed that any of her symptoms were related to TOS. My daughter left the appointment upset and feeling unheard and insulted. I believe the doctor came into the appointment with an opinion already formed. I believe a doctor should listen to patients and treat them with dignity. We are looking for answers for our daughter not judgement from a doctor. Arriving late and his tone and dismissiveness for what my daughter said showed his lack of concern.
