About Dr. Hammo

Clinical Biography

Abdel-Hai H. Hammo, M.D. is a professor of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition for the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Springdale and Little Rock. His journey as a medical student started in 1986 at Jordan University in Amman, Jordan where Dr. Hammo completed his medical school and then residency in 1990. He then completed a Pediatric Residency program in University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA in 1995. Dr. Hammo completed Pediatric Gastroenterology Fellowship programs in University of Nebraska Omaha, NE (1996) and Brown University Providence, RI (1998).

Dr. Hammo is Board Certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology. He holds multiple awards and honors from reputable Jordanian and American Universities and Hospitals like King Fahad Specialty Hospital in Dammam, Brown University and Harvard.

As a multidisciplinary specialist Dr. Hammo follows patients with IBD, Celiac disease, Eosinophilic Esophagitis and other general gastroenterology diseases. His research involves an extensive list of international and domestic publications, clinical trials and case studies.
