About Dr. Fontenot
Clinical Biography
Eudice Fontenot, M.D., joined the faculty of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences at Arkansas Children’s in October 1998. He was appointed medical director of the cardiovascular intensive care unit and served in this capacity until late 2004. He then accepted the challenge to develop and direct the Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship Program, building it into a model program that has seen a steady increase in the number of fellows recruited per academic year. In 2020, Dr. Fontenot was appointed to serve as the vice chair of education in the Department of Pediatrics. In addition to his duties as vice chair, Dr. Fontenot has a weekly cardiology clinic and is an integral part of the echocardiography laboratory team. His clinical interests include general cardiology and cardiac catheterization.
