
Tiambé Kuykendall, MSN, RN, is the Magnet Program Director and Assistant Director of Nursing Excellence within the Center for Nursing Excellence at UAMS. She began her nursing career in pediatric hematology/oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX, where she contributed to their 5th and 6th Magnet redesignation cycles and helped develop a Hematology Cohort Immersion Program. She joined UAMS to lead the institution’s Magnet redesignation effort, Magnet 2.0: An Encore of Excellence, building on the organization’s historic first Magnet Designation achieved in September 2024. Within the Center for Nursing Excellence, she leads Magnet efforts, nursing excellence programming, and initiatives that elevate and amplify the professional practice of nurses across UAMS. She has a B.A. in Education from Dillard University in New Orleans, a B.S. in Nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing, and a MSN from Chamberlain University, where she is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), with a focus on executive nursing leadership.
