Jean Prince, BS-MIS, is a Program Coordinator in the Center for Nursing Excellence at UAMS. She began her career at UAMS in 2017 as a Program Specialist and has played a key role in supporting and coordinating numerous nursing recognition and professional development programs.
Jean has extensive experience managing nursing awards and recognition programs, including the DAISY Award, DAISY Nurse Leader Award, BEE Award, Outstanding Area of the Month, and several Professional Nursing Awards, such as the Betty Casali Transformational Leadership Award, Advancement of Nursing Practice Award, Excellence in Nursing Education Award, Excellence in Advanced Practice Award, Outstanding Community Service Award, and the Mary Helen Forrest Legacy Award.
In her current role, Jean develops and maintains the UAMS Nurses website and facilitates the RN IV and RN V Specialty Nurse programs. She is also an accomplished photographer and a member of the Arkansas Professional Photographers Association (APPA). Jean enjoys highlighting and celebrating UAMS nurses through photography, ensuring their achievements and contributions are showcased across nursing webpages and communications. Her passion for visual storytelling helps recognize the dedication, professionalism, and impact of nurses across the organization.
