One of the most exciting and important parts of a project is getting to share and celebrate the outcomes through the dissemination of information in written publications, outcome posters, and podium presentations at conferences. However, dissemination of information is often overlooked as a key component of the project. I would venture that so much energy is put into the interventions to improve outcomes, or the analysis of research, or changing the culture, that by the time it comes to disseminating the information, the project leaders are too fatigued! However, if valuable findings from research, quality improvement outcomes, or implementation of evidence-based practices are not shared, then the great work to advance patient care and nursing practice is not expanded beyond the local unit or department and cannot contribute to transforming care for all patients.
In October 2024, the American Nurses Credentialing Center issued an open call for abstracts to the 2025 ANCC Magnet Conference. As a newly Magnet-designated organization, UAMS Nursing wanted to have a strong showing at next year’s conference, and many UAMS nurses took time to write abstracts to submit the great work they achieved in their departments for their patient populations. The ANCC received over 3,000 abstract submissions, and only about 300 were selected. The Center for Nursing Excellence is proud to announce that the following abstracts submitted by UAMS nurses were accepted to the 2025 ANCC Magnet Conference!

Nurses are uniquely positioned to identify factors influencing patient outcomes and to integrate evidence-based practices and research into everyday care. Clinical research enhances the foundational knowledge essential for delivering high-quality patient care and contributes meaningfully to the broader body of healthcare literature. Engaging in nursing research not only advances the profession but also supports your own professional growth.
At the heart of Nursing Excellence is a commitment to innovation and the continual pursuit of new knowledge. If you are interested in nursing research, evidence-based practice implementation, or quality improvement initiatives, the Center for Nursing Excellence offers valuable resources available on our website.
