Amy works on unit F9- ENT/Orthopedic Surgical Specialties and was nominated by an unknown person. The nomination below reflects how Amy impacted their life in a very special way.
Amy has become a vital part of this unit and every day comes in with a caring attitude and it shows in how she takes care of her patients. On this particular day, a patient had been discharged from F9 and unintentionally left a box containing a charger for the wound vac that he was sent home with. Amy took the phone call about this matter and could hear the frantic tone of the wife of the patient as she told Amy that they were already over an hour away from the hospital. Amy took it upon herself to go out of her way, when she left the hospital, to bring this to the patient. I am sure the wife of the patient and the patient were more than grateful. This is a wonderful example of providing nursing care that goes above and beyond!
