Candidate Requirements
All candidates selected to interview will be required to initiate online references, through our reference provider SkillSurvey. Online references must be completed prior to employment offer.
- For new grad RN interviews, candidates will be contacted directly by the new grad RN resident coordinator.
- For outpatient interviews, candidates will be contacted by the clinic manager or by a nursing recruiter in UAMS Human Resources.
- For inpatient interviews, candidates will be contacted by a nursing recruiter in UAMS Human Resources.

$7,500 Inpatient Floor RN Care Manager Sign-on Bonus
- Three or more years of RN experience is required.
- Care manager experience is not required.
- Applicant must be hired into a full-time, RN care manager position.
- Applicant is not a current UAMS employee.
- If applicant was a previous UAMS employee, at least 180 days have passed between termination and rehire dates.
- Sign-on bonus application and up to date resume are to be submitted to the current manager prior to the end of the 90-day probationary period.*

$25,000 RN Sign-on Bonus
- Applicants with a minimum of 24 months full-time experience as an RN in an acute care hospital*
- Experience in the past 24 months may include up to 12 months in a management position, but must include at least 12 months in a direct patient care role in an acute care hospital
- Be hired into a UAMS “critical area” of full-time employment. “Critical area” is defined as 24/7 areas:
- Inpatient units
- Med/Surg
- Onc
- UAMS Psychiatric Research Institute
- The Orthopaedic and Spine Hospital
- Apheresis
- The Orthopaedic and Spine Hospital’s main operating room
- The Orthopaedic and Spine Hospital’s main PACU
- Emergency department
- Cardiac cath. lab
- Interventional radiology / interventional radiology PreOp / PACU
- Inpatient units
- Current UAMS employee / float pool / transfer and/or rehires within the past 180 days of most recent termination date are not eligible.
* Eligibility and work commitment are discussed during the interview.
$10,000 LPN Sign-on Bonus
- Applicants with a minimum of 12 months full-time experience as an LPN*
- Experience in the past 12 months may include up to six months in a management position, but must include at least six months in a direct patient care role
- Be hired into a UAMS “critical area” of full time employment, direct patient care role. “Critical area” is defined as 24/7 areas:
- Inpatient Units
- Med/Surg
- Oncology
- UAMS Psychiatric Research Institute
- Inpatient Units
- Current UAMS employees (excluding temporary / PRN) and/or rehires within the past 180 days of most recent termination date are not eligible.
- If applicant previously had an approved UAMS sign-on bonus, all terms were completed and the designated time frame of agreement as passed.
