July 2021 DAISY Award

DAISY DAISY
Dasie Jackson, RN – F9 – ENT/Orthopedic Surgical Specialties

Please join the Center for Nursing Excellence in congratulating Dasie Jackson, RN for being selected as the DAISY Award recipient for the month of July!

Dasie works on F9 – ENT/Orthopedic Surgical Specialties and was nominated by a co-worker.  The nomination below reflects how Dasie impacted their life in a very special way.

“I can’t say enough good things about our Ms. Jackson.  She has been our “Go to” person whenever we have a new project, a need for another super-user, a need for staffing/schedule changes.  She is the first person to volunteer for various projects and she has been the biggest cheerleader and encourager for F9.  She encourages our physician colleagues by telling them how well they are doing with hand hygiene.  She encourages our staff as she evaluates practice, validates competencies and completes K-cards.  She is just truly a wonderful asset and resource for F9 and we are extremely grateful to have her as part of our F9 family.  She is always cheerful, smiling, and willing to lend a helping hand.  She is mentioned frequently in our patient comments as being a “bright star” and a “breath of fresh air” as she greets patients and families arriving to our unit.  One of the most recent patient comments we received was how grateful a patient was when Dasie greeted them in their room and sang “Happy Birthday”.  It’s all of the small things that Dasie does on a daily basis that help staff and bring joy to F9.  I can’t think of anyone more deserving of the Daisy Award than our own Ms. Dasie Jackson.”

Great job, Dasie Jackson!
