January 2018 DAISY Award

DAISY Award - Angeleah Clark - January2018Angeleah Clark, RN – F9 ENT/Orthopedic Surgical Specialties

Please join the Center for Nursing Excellence in congratulating Angeleah Clark, RN for being selected as the DAISY Award recipient for the month of January!

Angeleah works in Ent/Orthopedic Surgical Specialties and was nominated by a nursing colleague. The nomination below reflects Angeleah’s willingness to always go the extra mile in her dealings with both patients and co-workers.

“Angeleah is a fantastic leader and a huge asset to F9. She is loved by her peers and patients and is always lending a hand, especially in crisis events or rapid response situations. Recently, while on the unit, we had a rapid response where a patient was in a critical condition. I was the charge nurse and not in a position to leave the patient. Angeleah took the pager from me, made afternoon assignments, helped toilet several patients – all while taking care of her own patients as well – without having to be asked or told. She was a lifesaver!

We also recently had a patient that was newly diagnosed with cancer and Angeleah took this patient under her wing. Any extra time she had she was spending with that patient and his wife. She helped get him cleaned up, walked him around the unit and took the time to make him feel like he truly mattered. He got transferred to another unit and even after that for the next week when she worked she went down to visit him.

Angeleah is a go-to nurse who is always willing to help. She goes above and beyond for her patients and her fellow colleagues.”

Great job, Angeleah!
