Brooklyn Robinson, RN, E5 – Labor and Delivery
Please join the Center for Nursing Excellence in congratulating Brooklyn Robinson, RN, for being selected as the DAISY Award recipient for the month of August!
Brooklyn Robinson, RN, E5 – Labor and Delivery, and was nominated by a Patient. The nomination below reflects how Brooklyn impacted their life in a very special way.
Nomination: As a Neonatal ICU fellow, I have the unique opportunity to work closely with many of the labor and delivery nurses in a professional capacity. However, I recently had the experience of getting to know one of them—nurse Brooklyn Robinson—not just as a colleague, but as a patient under her care.
At 38 weeks pregnant, I was understandably anxious about being induced. From the moment Brooklyn entered the room, she brought with her a sense of calm and reassurance that immediately put me and my family at ease. Her attentiveness, compassion, and professionalism were evident throughout the entire process. She was not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also intuitive, often anticipating our needs before we even knew we had them.
We were so impressed by her care on the first day that we specifically requested her to be assigned to us again the following day. During both the pre-delivery period and the delivery itself, Brooklyn remained a steady, supportive presence. Her thoughtful approach and attention to detail made what could have been a stressful experience feel safe and manageable.
While I was deeply grateful for the entire care team, Brooklyn’s exceptional dedication and warmth truly stood out. I feel very fortunate to have had her by my side during such an important and vulnerable time.
Thank you, Brooklyn!
