Lucinda “Cyndi” Vent, Peer Support Specialist, PRI 4th Floor Women’s Mental Health Program
Please join the Center for Nursing Excellence in congratulating Lucinda “Cyndi” Vent – for being selected as the September BEE Award winner!
Cyndi is a Peer Support Specialist on PRI 4th Floor Women’s Mental Health Program and was nominated by a co-worker. The following is the story of how Cyndi impacted their life in a way that they will never forget.
Nomination: I have had several situations where staff and patients have expressed their appreciation for the work Cyndi has done to help our patients. Cyndi goes above and beyond to make sure our patients are taken care of with resources readily available to help our ladies succeed in the community. Our patients often come to the hospital from the streets with nowhere to turn for help. Cyndi is always available to spend time with the patients to ensure they understand there is help for them, and a light at the end of a dark tunnel. She gives them hope when they previously had none. Cyndi is a huge asset to the Women’s Mental Health Program and truly deserves recognition for what she does and the kindness she shows.
