November 2019 BEE Award

Andrew ScrogginsAndrew Scroggins, Surgical/Scrub Tech – Perioperative – Main Operating Room

Please join the Center for Nursing Excellence in congratulating Andrew Scroggins for being selected as the November BEE Award winner!

Andrew is a Surgical/Scrub Tech in Perioperativer – Main Operating Room and was nominated by co-workers.  The following is the story of how Andrew impacted their life in a way that they will never forget.

“To whom it may concern,
I’d like to take the opportunity to let you know what a consistently great job Andrew Scroggins does in the unit.  As one of the main staff, Andrew is on the rare occasion assigned to other services.  I observed him in a complicated Ortho case with Dr. Cherney and not only did he not complain about such an off-service assignment, he did so well that even Dr. Cherney noted what a great job he was doing during such a difficult case. I have the pleasure of working with Andrew fairly often in ENT cases and it was great to see he’s just as knowledgeable and helpful in services outside of his norm.
In my opinion, He’s a great asset to our department and I just wanted to go on the record hoping he might get the recognition so many of the staff thinks he deserves.
Sincerely,

Nominated by:  UAMS Employees

I wanted to take a moment to tell Andrew Scroggins how much we all appreciate your contribution to the team and patient care.  Clearly, you are well respected and seen as a great asset by your colleagues!

Thanks so much

Well-deserved recognition.  Andrew Scroggins is fantastic at his job and great to work with.  It was an incredibly frustrating and long case and he stayed the whole time.  Nary a complaint.  Kept organized with all sorts of sets and equipment that I’m barely used to let alone someone that’s usually in these rooms. AND on a day that he was supposed to leave early to celebrate his/her birthday.  Incredible help and much appreciated.  Hard to put into words.  Thanks Andrew.”

Way to go Andrew.

Please congratulate Andrew for Being Exceptional Every day at UAMS!
