November 2017 BEE Award

Kenya Walter, PCT – H7-Medical Oncology

Please join the Center for Nursing Excellence in congratulating Kenya Walter for being selected as the November BEE Award winner!

Kenya is a Patient Care Technician (PCT) in the Medical Oncology Department and was nominated by a UAMS employee.

The following is the story of how Kenya impacted an employee’s life in a way that they will never forget.

“There is not just one particular example that I can think of for Kenya, but she is exceptional ALL of the time. I am in the float pool and I work with many different PCTs and she is definitely one of best in many ways. Kenya performs her job to the highest standards every day. I never have to go behind her to make sure the patient is being taken care of. I KNOW my patients are in good hands when Kenya is their PCT. It lessens my burdens as a nurse knowing that I have a teammate that I can depend on. I also see her getting to know her patients and they are delighted when she is around. I really appreciate her.”

Please congratulate Kenya for Being Exceptional Every day at UAMS!

The BEE Award honors non-nurse staff who provide exceptional care for patients and family. To nominate a deserving patient care staff member, please visit: http://nurses.uams.edu/BEE-Award.
