May 2026 BEE Award

Brandy Rosage is a Medical Assistant at TOSH - Interventional Spine and Pain Clinic, 4th Floor

Brandy Rosage is a Medical Assistant at TOSH – Interventional Spine and Pain Clinic, 4th Floor.

Please join the Center for Nursing Excellence in congratulating Brandy Rosage – for being selected as the May BEE Award winner!

Brandy Rosage is a Medical Assistant at TOSH – Interventional Spine and Pain Clinic, 4th Floor and was nominated by a co-worker. The following is the story of how Brandy impacted their lives in a way that they will never forget.

Nomination #1:

Brandy is one of the best MA’s I have worked with. She consistently demonstrates exceptional clinical skill, but what sets her apart is the depth of compassion she brings to every patient interaction. Ours is a chronic pain clinic; it is not uncommon to see angry and frustrated patients. She rooms them with such kindness that she puts them at ease, goes an extra mile to gather their records, and advocates for patients behind the scenes. She does so much every single day, it is difficult to think of one single incident.

One such frustrated and angry-looking patient came to the clinic a few days ago. The patient was not easy to talk to and was also disrespectful in the beginning. They had records at a different hospital, including an MRI. Brandy stayed calm and spent an ample amount of time with the patient (made sure the rest of the clinic flow did not get affected- I do not know how she does that), which calmed them down. She then collected all the records that were needed and got the MRI images pushed. If it were not for her, I would not have been able to provide the treatment that was needed by the patient without compromising time for other patients. She is absolutely the best, and I strongly recommend her for this award.

Nomination #2:

I would like to nominate Brandy Rosage for the Bee Award. Brandy is truly the backbone of our clinic and exemplifies everything this award represents.

She is the go-to person for navigating any issue that arises within our service line. Whether it involves physicians, APRNs, radiology techs, medical assistants, the access team, finance team, or the authorization team, Brandy consistently steps in with professionalism, clarity, and compassion.

She has a remarkable ability to quickly assess situations, identify what needs to be done, determine where support is needed, and take immediate action—often before others even recognize there is a gap.

Brandy is exceptionally intelligent and resourceful. When she does not immediately know an answer or a specific workflow, she takes the initiative to research, clarify, and resolve it. This applies equally to internal staff processes and to patient questions or concerns. She does not leave issues unresolved; she ensures they are fully understood and appropriately addressed. Her strong critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and abundance of common sense allow her to confidently navigate even the most complex or unexpected situations.

She plays an essential role in training all new hires within our service line. Management relies on her because of her deep knowledge, initiative, and commitment to excellence. She not only teaches established workflows but also actively identifies areas for improvement and develops practical solutions that enhance efficiency and patient care. Her well-rounded skill set makes her an invaluable resource across disciplines.

Her work ethic is unmatched. Brandy consistently completes an extraordinary volume of tasks, often accomplishing significantly more than her peers—while maintaining accuracy, organization, and a positive attitude. She is equally proficient in clerical responsibilities, phone management, work queue navigation, record retrieval, and scheduling as she is in direct patient care. From assisting with labs and triage to addressing individual patient needs, she delivers every aspect of her role with competence and compassion.

Most importantly, Brandy is kind, honest, and unwavering in her advocacy for patients. She approaches every interaction with empathy and professionalism, ensuring patients feel heard, respected, and supported.

It is no exaggeration to say that our clinic runs smoothly because of Brandy. All patients come in and are excited to see her walking in for procedures or clinic appointments. Every member of our team would readily affirm her impact. She is an exceptional colleague, leader, and caregiver, and she is more than deserving of recognition through the Bee Aware Award.

Please congratulate Brandy for Being Exceptional Every day at UAMS!

Way to go Brandy!
