Sherilyn Watson, Patient Services Associate – F6 – Medical Specialties

Sherilyn is a Patient Services Associate in F6 – Medical Specialties and was nominated by a coworker. The following is the story of how Sherilyn impacted their life in a way that they will never forget.
“Sherilyn always goes above and beyond for the patients on our unit whether she is taking care of them that day or not but yesterday she really went to another level. We have a long-term patient (has been admitted for 146 days today) on our unit and will probably be here for a while. He does not have any visitors that come see or even call him.
She took the time out of her busy day to help him trim his beard, cut his hair, etc. Things that we don’t normally address or even think about for patients in the hospital. I know that a beard trim and hair cut may not sound like a lot, but to someone who needs assistance with everyday activities and does not have anyone close to him that checks on him, I know the extra kindness that she showed him yesterday really made his day. I went into his room tonight to tell him hello and that he looks great with his new haircut and the biggest smile came across his face.”
