Deauna Davis Smith, Patient Services Associate – H7 – Medical Oncology
Please join the Center for Nursing Excellence in congratulating Deauna Davis Smith for being selected as the June BEE Award winners!
Deauna is a patient service associate on H7 – Medical Oncology and was nominated by a patient and daughter. The following is the story of how Deauna impacted the patients’ life in a way that they will never forget.
“My mother and I have been in #728 for about a week and we just wanted to say thank you to the wonderful staff that you have. From the moment Deauna walked in she radiated her smile. It was amazing how a person could do such a dirty job with such a positive and kind attitude. We have had a few techs that when asked to do something would have an attitude even though they just said let me know if you need anything. She always came in and checked the commode and took care of things even if we didn’t ask and all the while wearing a genuine smile. She gave her best every time we saw her and served her patients wholeheartedly every time. This is why we would like to nominate Ms. Deauna for the BEE award.”
