BEE Award

Donna Malone, Patient Care Technician – F8 – Cardiac Progressive Care

Please join the Center for Nursing Excellence in congratulating Donna Malone for being selected as the January BEE Award winner!

Donna is a Patient Care Technician on F8 – Cardiac Progressive Care and was nominated by her co-workers.  The following is the story of how Donna impacted their lives in a way that they will never forget.

First nomination – Co-worker – Kendall Roaf

“Donna is one of the most kind, and caring souls I have ever met. She goes above and beyond for every patient she comes into contact with. She is one of the most hardworking individuals I have ever worked with and she is truly a blessing to our floor.”

Second nomination – Co-worker – Olympia Johnson

“Honestly I don’t know where to start. Being a CNA for over 10 years I have meet a lot of people with all type of attitudes. Donna is the most kind, giving, and helpful person I have ever met. First, let me start by saying that she makes me want to be a better me by just working with her. I don’t have just one story to tell about her because anytime she is at work you can bet your paycheck she will come to your aid whether you need help or not. When she is at work and we are short, I know that I have a team player on my side. She will even come in on her days off to help, unless her son has a game or she has to cook that day (LOL). Donna has not only impacted my work life, but my personal life too. She CARES, genuinely and that’s come in rare form these days. She cares about her patients deeply. She checks on them from time to time. You know the ones that really touch of hearts. For example, we had a patient in room F805, Mrs. Jackie. Donna kept in contact with her and her family and keeps us up to date with them as well. Donna always goes the extra mile for her patients every day as well as the staff. Sometimes one event or action doesn’t make people deserving or underserving of an award. Just being a good person with a good heart with every breath in your body does. I would be my pleasure to nominate Donna Malone for Bee Award because her spirit is appreciated and loved on F8.”

Way to go Donna Malone.

Please congratulate Donna for Being Exceptional Every day at UAMS!
