Maria is a Medical Assistant and was nominated by a co-worker. The following is the story of how Maria impacted their life in a way that they will never forget.
Nomination: Maria is a truly incredible medical assistant in our clinic. She carries a tremendous workload in terms of managing all our female patients receiving gyn brachytherapy. She is responsible for maintaining our brachy therapy schedule and participates in almost all aspects of gyn brachy procedures for 3 different providers. She is incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and is truly second to none in her bedside manner with our patients who are nervous leading up to procedures. So many of my patients have expressed how much they love Maria and so appreciate her calming and compassionate patient care. I feel more comfortable having her by my side while doing these procedures and I know that my patients feel the same way.
