Please join the Center for Nursing Excellence in congratulating Kayli Blaylock – for being selected as the April BEE Award winner!
Kayli Blaylock is a Patient Care Technician in the Emergency Department and was nominated by a family member of a patient. The following is the story of how Kayli impacted their lives in a way that they will never forget.
Nomination:
Kayli is an angel sent from heaven. She was one of the first faces we saw upon arriving at UAMS. My brother was airlifted to UAMS after a car wreck with life-threatening injuries and continues to be in the ICU. We actually beat the helicopter and were directed to check in at the desk for information. Kayli could tell that we were very worried and emotional, and she was such a calming, comforting presence. She gave us frequent updates, let us know when the helicopter was close to arriving, asked if a visit from a chaplain would help (it did), and came in to check on us several times while he was there. I was so worried about being in the emergency room, but Kayli made things so much better. The doctors, Dr. Ray and Dr. Meadors, were also very good, but Kayli provided warm comfort. Even though things were and are very scary, it’s so appreciated when someone takes the time to care. Thanks to Kayli.
Please congratulate Kayli for Being Exceptional Every day at UAMS!
Way to go Kayli!
