Kelsey Fry, RN, E4 – Medical/Neuro Intensive Care Unit
Please join the Center for Nursing Excellence in congratulating Kelsey Fry, RN, for being selected as the DAISY Award recipient for the month of September!
Kelsey Fry, RN, works in E4 – Medical/Neuro Intensive Care Unit, and was nominated by a co-worker. The nomination below reflects how Kelsey impacted their life in a very special way.
Nomination: My patient’s wife has severe dementia. She has been at the hospital with her husband for over 24 hours. She cannot tell when she needs to use the restroom and has had several episodes of incontinence. The patient had been sitting in urine and stool-soaked clothes for the entire visit. Kelsey helped get this family member cleaned, helped find new clothing, and new briefs. The patient is unable to care for herself. Kelsey went above and beyond to care for family members of a patient that she wasn’t even assigned to.
Great job, Kelsey!
