Denise Barton, RN, F9 – Surgical Specialties/ENT/Ortho
Please join the Center for Nursing Excellence in congratulating Denise Barton, RN, for being selected as the DAISY Award recipient for the month of November!
Denise Barton, RN, works on F9 – Surgical Specialties/ENT/Ortho, and was nominated by a patient. The nomination below reflects how Denise impacted their life in a very special way.
Nomination: I would like to nominate Denise for the Daisy award. I was a patient after I accidentally shot myself in my leg.
Denise was my nurse for 2 nights she was fabulous.
I felt like I could relax and that I was being taken care of while she was my nurse.
I had asked for several things from the day shift nurses and it seems that they were too busy or did not want to help.
Denise came in on her night shift and started answering my questions and doing what I had been asking for. I felt she had empathy for me and managed my pain perfectly.
She seemed to know exactly what I need and helped me rest that night. She is an angel dressed in nurses’ scrubs.
Thank you, Denise.
Great job, Denise!
