Steven Vincent, RN – E7 – Medical Oncology / Transplant
Please join the Center for Nursing Excellence in congratulating Steven Vincent, RN for being selected as the DAISY Award recipient for the month of March!
Steven works on E7 – Medical Oncology / Transplant and was nominated by a patient’s family member. The nomination below reflects how Steven impacted their life in a very special way.
“We have been at UAMS since October 23rd, 2017 and we have been in 3 different rooms and 3 different units of the hospital. F705 the majority of the nurses and tech’s were very good. H709 they were ok. But when Steven came on duty in our room E706, it was refreshing. I personally was feeling kind of tired and frustrated. Steven came in bubbly and friendly. Mike, my husband got sick, he emptied the trash and did not call the tech to do it. HE did it. He found out that Mike hadn’t ate, so HE went and made soup for him. HE went and filled his ice cup and water cup for him. As long as I had been here I never saw such attentive care to a patient. He did all types of tasks that I hadn’t seen before and talked and explained to you what and why He’s giving different meds. Steven is dedicated and compassionate. I felt human again. Thanks Steven, keep up the good work and your sense of humor.”
Great job, Steven!
