Chardai Tubbs, RN – E6 – Perinatal
Please join the Center for Nursing Excellence in congratulating Chardai Tubbs, RN for being selected as the DAISY Award recipient for the month of July!
Chardai works in the E6 – Perinatal and was nominated by a patient’s family member. The nominations below reflects how Chardai impacted their life in a very special way.
“Chardai is an exceptional nurse, though she was responsible for five other patients during our stay which can be very challenging during this period of COVID 19 safety restrictions, she always walked into the room with a smile on her face and in her voice. She made us feel at ease and comfortable with her language of caring. She is a good patient educator, and listener. Under her care, we knew what to anticipate and what she was assessing for. I do not know how she was able to respond to our call so promptly. She advocated for my wife when she wasn’t getting relief from prescribed analgesics and offered alternative non-pharmacologic interventions which ultimately helped significantly. It was amazing to have someone that cares.
As a nurse myself, in my 6 years of working as a bedside ICU nurse, I never anticipated what it would be like to be on the receiving end of healthcare. I would go to work, give it my very best and assume that the same care would be extended to me if I happen to be on the receiving end of nursing. The 2 days that my wife and I spent at UAMS has taught me that exceptional nursing is not a guarantee. We were lucky to have it. Chardai went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant and less stressful and am certain every patient that has been touched by her care will agree with me that she deserves this award.”
Great job, Chardai Tubbs!
