Clement Aladesofi, PCT, H9 – Medical/Surgical Unit specializing in Solid Organ Transplantation
Please join the Center for Nursing Excellence in congratulating Clement Aladesofi – for being selected as the August BEE Award winner!
Clement is a PCT on H9 – Medical/Surgical Unit specializing in Solid Organ Transplantation and was nominated by a family member of a patient. The following is the story of how Clement impacted their life in a way that they will never forget.
Nomination: My name is Howard Massey, and I am the husband of Carrie Massey, who has been a patient at UAMS for several years, and we have the honor and the privilege, to sit on one of the Patient Advisory Committees, for Dr. Cam Patterson at UAMS
I am writing to enthusiastically nominate Clement Aladesofi, a remarkable member of your hospital staff, for recognition of his outstanding dedication and compassion in providing care, support, and comfort to patients like my wife during our many extended stays on Wing H9.
In a world where exceptional service often feels elusive, Clement stands as a shining example of unwavering commitment and genuine care. Throughout my wife’s challenging journey, which included a liver transplant, renal failure, cellulitis, hernia mesh installation, and removal, along with prolonged hospitalizations, Clement, consistently went above and beyond to ensure our well-being, comfort, and emotional support.
What sets Mr. Aladesofi apart, is not just his professional competence, but also the warmth and empathy he brings to every interaction. His Christian background infuses his actions with a profound sense of love, kindness, and understanding. He always has a smile on his face, he never complains, and his face is beaming with joy, every time you see him. It’s evident that Clement, sees his work not just as a job, but as a calling to serve others with compassion and grace.
Whether it was through a reassuring smile, a comforting word, or an extra moment of personal attention, like making up the couch for me to stay overnight, and bringing extra linens, because Mrs. Massey keeps it below Arctic temperatures. Clement made each day a little brighter and more manageable for my wife and our family. His presence was a source of solace and strength during some of our darkest moments, and for that, we are forever grateful. Even when my wife was going through bouts of encephalopathy, and was being quite rude to him, he took it in stride and just said, “I know this is not her, it’s just the toxins in her body, don’t worry Mr. Massey it will be okay.” As I stood there in tears mortified!
In every room we were in, on Wing H9, Clement, left a lasting impact, not just through his exemplary skills as a healthcare professional, but through the depth of his humanity and the sincerity of his care. Clements’ dedication to his patients is truly inspiring and serves as a beacon of hope through trying times. Many times, while at the hospital, I felt like I was a guest, in a Five-Star hotel. When you thank Clement for doing his job, or even going well above and beyond, his immediate retort is, “Thank you sir, Thank you sir, My pleasure sir, My pleasure sir!” As he bows and exits the room, with folded hands and extreme grace.
There’s so many great things I can say about Clement. If I listed them all it would be the prototype, and manual, for UAMS to teach Techs and RNs. His job is hard, RNs jobs are hard, support staff, and administrations jobs are hard. However, Clement comes in when staff is short, and he stays late when staff is late. I have personally heard other staff members remark about how “Great,” he is, and his willingness to help when no one else will, or can. But through it all, I have never once heard him Complain about Anything…, Ever!
Miyoshi Austin Jackson, the Clinical Services Manager for H9, said that “Clement Aladesofi, is truly deserving of the BEE Award, and an asset to the H9 family.” I couldn’t agree more!
It is my sincere belief that Clement is more than deserving of this recognition for his exceptional service, and unwavering commitment to the well-being of his patients. His kindness, empathy, and dedication, embody the values of UAMS, or any Major Medical Center in the United States, and serves as a testament to the profound impact that one individual can make in the lives of others.
Thank you for strongly considering my nomination. I and many others, wholeheartedly endorse Clement Aladesofi, for this well-deserved recognition, because he is Being Exceptional Every day!
In His Service!
Mr. and Mrs. Howard L. Massey
Way to go Clement!
Please congratulate Clement for Being Exceptional Every day at UAMS!
