Respiratory Viruses

If you have been exposed to someone with a respiratory virus or have symptoms such as a cough, fever, sneezing, or runny nose, please call the clinic where your appointment is scheduled. They will let you know if you should come to the clinic for your scheduled appointment or change to a phone or video visit. You may also reschedule for a time when you are feeling better.

If you are seeing a UAMS Health provider to treat a respiratory virus or other contagious condition, please ask for a mask when you check in for your appointment. This is important and will help keep other patients and staff healthy and safe.

About the Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Clinic on Rodney Parham

New Location, Same World-Class Care

UAMS Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine now offers a brand-new, convenient location at the Premier Medical Plaza on North Rodney Parham! We are bringing the same world-class care and leading-edge medicine you trust closer to you.

Aches, pains, and joint discomfort don’t have to be a “normal” part of aging or something you simply live with after an injury. When pain keeps you from doing the things you love — whether that’s competing on the field, playing with your grandchildren, or enjoying an active lifestyle — it’s time to see one of our orthopaedic experts.

Expert Care for Every Level of Need

As part of the state’s only academic medical center, our clinic serves patients with common orthopaedic conditions as well as those with highly complex issues too difficult to be treated anywhere else. Our experts include nationally renowned, fellowship-trained doctors who are sought out by patients from across Arkansas and around the country.

When surgery is necessary, our orthopaedic surgeons provide the latest minimally invasive techniques using state-of-the-art equipment and technology, including advanced robot-assisted procedures. This means greater precision, less pain, and a faster return to the things you love.

Services Offered

Our multidisciplinary team at the UAMS Health Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Clinic on Rodney Parham in Little Rock provides comprehensive nonsurgical and surgical care, including:

  • Hand and Wrist Conditions: Specialized care for carpal tunnel syndrome, fractures, tendon injuries, arthritis, and other conditions affecting the hands, wrists, and upper extremities.
  • Hand Therapy: Personalized rehabilitation programs provided by certified hand therapists to help restore strength, mobility, and function following injury, surgery, or chronic hand and upper-extremity conditions.
  • Hip and Knee Joint Care: Comprehensive evaluation and treatment for joint pain, arthritis, sports injuries, and advanced joint reconstruction.
  • Foot and Ankle Conditions: Specialized treatment for fractures, tendon injuries, deformities, arthritis, and chronic foot and ankle pain.
  • Shoulder and Elbow Conditions: Expert care for rotator cuff tears, shoulder instability, arthritis, tennis elbow, ligament injuries, and complex shoulder replacement procedures.
  • Spine Care: Advanced diagnosis and treatment for neck and back pain, degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, spinal deformities, and other complex spine conditions.
  • Sports-Related Conditions and Injuries: Elite-level care for athletes of all ages and skill levels, focused on safe recovery and return to sport.
  • Physical Therapy: Individualized rehabilitation programs designed to improve strength, flexibility, mobility, balance, and overall function after injury, surgery, or musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Sports Performance: Specialized training and performance programs for athletes and active individuals focused on injury prevention, movement analysis, strength and conditioning, return-to-sport testing, and optimizing athletic performance.

By bringing orthopaedic specialists, therapists, and sports performance experts together in one location, we provide coordinated care designed to help patients recover, perform, and return to the activities they enjoy.
