About Dr. Martin
Clinical Biography
Dr. Robert D. Martin specializes in foot and ankle surgery, using advanced techniques and minimally invasive procedures to repair damage, restore movement and alleviate pain.
Dr. Martin is a fellow member of both the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society. He spent five years completing his internship and residency in Arkansas before traveling to Florida for specialized training in foot and ankle surgery. In addition to his extensive professional studies and accomplishments, Dr. Martin has served as a care provider and Spanish translator in El Salvador and Honduras.
Like many of our patients, Dr. Martin stays active with competitive sports and outdoor recreation, including hunting, fishing, boating, running, snow skiing and tennis. He enjoys spending time with his wife and family.

Dr. Martin showed me the Xray and showed that there was no bone damage. He talked me through my treatment options and allowed me to be a part of the decision. I trust his expertise and went with his suggestion [.....] Wonderful Visit.

I've had a traumatizing experience with a previous doctor so I was somewhat nervous with another surgery. Dr. Martin and his assistant walked me thru everything and this has been the best experience I've had. Surgery went smoothly, healing perfect. I have already recommended Dr. Martin to others.
