Dr C Matthews engenders confidence in her capabilities. She gave the impression she remembered my last visit and condition even though it was 3 years ago. Even if that was just good style form, it was clear she had looked at my new x-ray before entering the room. She did not pull any punches or sugarcoat her reading, which I appreciated. When I looked out ahead, asked re future condition of my infirmity, she provided a good context and choice of words. She was also clear on the pros and cons of options right now. Equally impressive was her manner - clear spoken, no technical terms, humanistic, person to person connection style, no stylistic affectation to hide behind Doctor status.
