About Dr. Stambough

Clinical Biography

Jeffrey B. Stambough, M.D., was born in Philadelphia, Penn., and grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has a clinical interest in primary and revision joint replacement using time-tested techniques and approaches as well as novel treatments for periprosthetic fractures and joint infections.

When not working, Stambough enjoys spending time with his wife, Kate, two young boys, Benjamin and William, and their two dogs, Ollie and Charlie.

Dr. Stambough's Research

Stambough has a breadth of basic science research experience from working at the National Institutes of Health and McKay Orthopaedic Research Laboratory as a medical student. Stambough has authored numerous publications in the Journal of Arthroplasty, Clinical Orthopaedics & Related Research, Bone & Joint Journal and other peer-reviewed journals and has given podium presentations at numerous local and national meetings. He has received several accolades and awards for his research, including earning the prestigious Mark Coventry award for his contribution to a study on patient-specific cutting guides for total knee arthroplasty.

Research Interests

Currently, Dr. Stambough's clinical research interests include investigating cost-saving strategies and clinical outcomes in joint arthroplasty, treatments for infected joints and novel surgical instrumentation and implant application for complex joint replacement.

Well done. I was there and taken back in great time then dr came in and things went from there smoothly. When he would go out of the room the next person would come in etc... I went for x-rays then came back Dr came in then he proceeded to treat me.

Doctors and nurses was great. I can't say the same for the front desk staff. They treated me as if I was intruding upon their time. Not one time did I get a smile. I had to stand there and wait without a greeting until the both of them was finished typing on their laptop or putting stuff away. They need people skills.
