What to Expect at Your Appointment
UAMS has safety measures in place to protect our patients and employees. Everyone who comes to UAMS is required to wear a mask and pass a health screening before entering the building. You will also have your temperature taken. Please wear a clean mask to your clinic visit, and do not remove it until asked to do so by a UAMS employee.

Outpatient Visitor Guidelines
Patients must come to their visit alone. A friend or family member may come to an appointment only if the patient is under 18 or is not mentally or physically able to go to the appointment alone. You are welcome to include a friend or family member in your appointment by phone or video chat.
If you need a wheelchair from your car to your appointment, transport staff may be available at the main UAMS campus. Contact your clinic for more information.

About Gastroenterology Clinic
The gastroenterology specialists at our clinic include nationally known experts in the treatment of numerous conditions of the digestive system, liver and pancreas.
Using the latest in diagnostic tools, we can identify and develop a treatment plan for problems in the stomach, colon, esophagus, liver, pancreas, intestines and other digestive organs.
Our hepatologists, or liver specialists, diagnose and treat hepatitis, fatty liver and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, along with other conditions. These specialists are part of the multi-disciplinary UAMS liver transplant program, Arkansas’ only liver transplant program.
About Our Facility
Our 10,000-square-foot endoscopy center includes a gastrointestinal (GI) motility procedure room and a dedicated Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography suite. We also offer endoscopic ultrasound, which allows detailed visualization of the GI tract. The system is the only one of its kind in Arkansas.
