Dr. Alomari's Academic Background
Academic Biography
Dr. Alomari joined UAMS as an assistant professor in the Division of Gastroenterology, Department of Internal Medicine at UAMS.
Dr. Mohammad Alomari earned his medical degree with honors in 2011 from Cairo University Faculty of Medicine in Egypt. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital and subsequently served as a fourth-year chief at East Tennessee State University.
Dr. Alomari completed his gastroenterology fellowship, serving as chief fellow at the Cleveland Clinic Florida. He further pursued advanced fellowship training in inflammatory bowel disease at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio.
He has more than 50 published articles in prominent peer-reviewed journals. He is also listed as a reviewer by multiple gastroenterology journals.
Currently, he is taking the lead in establishing comprehensive IBD and bowel ultrasound programs at UAMS.

I wear hearing aids and had a little trouble understanding Dr. Alomari's accent, but my daughter was able to help explain things.

I feel like there was a bit of a language barrier. The physicians were very kind and did strive to understand. However, I didn't completely understand one of the procedures and they didn't fully listen, the therefore I believe one procedure may not be as helpful as they expect.
