About Dr. Rude
Clinical Biography
Dr. Katie Rude is a hepatologist specializing in liver transplant and treating a wide range of liver disorders. She completed medical school at the University of Virginia and then went on to complete her residency in internal medicine at the University of Michigan. She subsequently pursued her fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at Washington University in St. Louis and then stayed on for an additional fellowship in transplant hepatology. In 2015, she joined the UAMS faculty and the Central Arkansas Veteran Healthcare System as an assistant professor. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, and is board-eligible for Transplant Hepatology.

More concerned about returning to see Dr [NAME]. Stated they do not see other patients in this office of other doctors! Told her Dr [NAME] did not wish to see me anymore. She firmly stated I will talk to him about that. Guess I do not have a dr in this department anymore. Lots of politics in this department! Instead of being assessed for my condition, I was Informed at least 4 times about why she will not see me. I have left this office now 2 times in tears due to the way I was treated and talked to by the physicians. Sad that university of Arkansas is representative of this !

Dr. Rude has excellent bedside manner. She is thorough and spends the appreciate amount of time explaining evidence-based medical information pertinent to the issue(s)/disease(s) at large. You can tell that she enjoys what she does. I recommend her and her team to any patient needing hepatologic care.
