Main Operating Room (OR)
Main OR is a 20-room suite, operational 24/7, and located on the 2nd floor of the Central Hospital. There are 18 endoscopic rooms, 2 laminar flow rooms, 3 DaVinci Robotic rooms and a dedicated endovascular room. It is a fast paced environment performing state of the art procedures with state of the art equipment. Specialties include: Cardiovascular (open heart), E.N.T., General (Kidney and Liver transplant), Gynecology, Orthopedic (total and trauma), Neurosurgery, Plastic/Reconstructive, Robotics, Urology, and Vascular. We offer the AORN (Association of periOperative Registered Nurses) peri-op course for RN’s seeking OR experience coordinated by our department educator.
One Day Surgery Operating Room (ODS)
One Day Surgery OR is an 8-room suite, operational Monday thru Friday and closed on weekends and holidays and located on the 4th floor of the Outpatient Center. There are 8 endoscopic rooms,1 DaVinci Robotic room and a dedicated eye surgery room. It is a fast paced environment performing state of the art procedures with state of the art equipment. Specialties include: E.N.T. (Cochlear Implants), Eyes (MOHS, Cataracts, Retinas), General and Neuro/Pain procedures, Gynecology (Robotics), and Plastic/Reconstructive (Breast Oncology). We offer the AORN (Association of perioperative Registered Nurses) peri-op course for RN’s seeking OR experience coordinated by our department educator.
Pre-Op Holding (Main)
Pre-Op Holding is a 21 bed area servicing both the outpatient and inpatient populations. Pre-op supports the preparation of patients prior to procedures and surgeries including but not limited to Cardiothoracic, General, Gynecology, Neuro Interventional Radiology, Orthopedic, Otolaryngology, Plastics, Urology, and Vascular Surgery. Pre-Op Holding allows the family member/s to remain with the patient prior to the procedure as well as during the recovery period to enhance patient/family satisfaction and continuity of nursing care. The Registered Nurses are trained in ACLS, BLS, and PALS and receive a comprehensive orientation and continued training with the changing patient population.

Pre-op supports the preparation of patients prior to procedures/surgeries including but not limited to General, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic, Otolaryngology, Plastics, and Urology. Pre-Op Holding allows the family member/s to remain with the patient prior to the procedure as well as during the recovery period to enhance patient/family satisfaction and continuity of nursing care. The Register Nurses are trained in ACLS, BLS, and PALS and receive a comprehensive orientation and continued training with the changing patient population.
Post Anesthesia Care Units (PACU)
PACU is a critical care area servicing both the outpatient (One Day Surgery) and inpatient populations (Main). PACU supports the preparation and recovery of patients for the Operating Room and Radiologic Procedures, including but not limited to, Cath Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, Interventional Radiology, and other diagnostic areas. Patients have a wide variety of clinical presentations and are allowed to have family visit to support patient/family satisfaction. The Registered Nurses are trained in ACLS, BLS, and receive a comprehensive orientation and continued training, with the changing patient population. Minor call is required to support 24/7 operations.
