Got Transition

Got Transition is the national resource center on health care transition (HCT). Its aim is to improve the transition from pediatric to adult health care through the use of evidence-driven strategies for clinicians and other health care professionals; public health programs; payers and plans; youth and young adults; and parents and caregivers.

College Autism Network

The College Autism Network aims to improve access, experiences, and outcomes for postsecondary students with autism through advocacy, research, and training.

University of Arkansas Autism Support Program

The University of Arkansas Autism Support Program aids students with autism by providing support in academics, transitioning to independent adult roles and social skills.

Beyond Guardianship

The National Council on Disability’s (NCD) report, Beyond Guardianship: Toward Alternatives That Promote Greater Self-Determination for People with Disabilities, explains how guardianship law has evolved, explores due process and other concerns with guardianships, offers an overview of alternatives to guardianship, and identifies areas for further study.

Arkansas Transition Services (ATS)

ATS is a group of consultants that assists students, educators, parents, agency personnel and community members in preparing students to transition from school to adult life and reach positive post school outcomes.

Arkansas Rehabilitative Services (ARS)

ARS’s mission is to prepare Arkansans with disabilities to work and lead productive and independent lives. ARS provides a variety of training and career preparation programs with 19 field offices across the state.

Autism Speaks Transition Tool Kit

This kit provides considerations as your child approaches adulthood including self-advocacy skills, legal issues, employment options, postsecondary educational opportunities, and housing supports.

Adult Developmental Day Treatment (ADDT)

Adults aged 21 and older (18+ with a diploma or certificate of completion) are eligible for ADDT services if they have a developmental diagnosis that originated before the age of 22 and have proven medical necessity for ADDT services. ADDT offers habilitative, supervised living, prevocational, therapeutic, and educational services.
