The Center for Effective Parenting positively impacts children by helping parents and those who work with parents enhance their knowledge, skills, and attitudes regarding parenting. The Center focuses on training, service, and research in order to have a broad impact in facilitating the healthy growth and development of children.
Healthy Child Care Arkansas (HCCAR)
HCCAR is a collaboration between Arkansas Department of Human Services, UAMS Department of Pediatrics, and UAMS Kids FIRST and provides a quality health and safety resource service for early child care providers, parents/guardians, and health care professionals.
Northwest Arkansas Community Parenting Resource Center (CPRC)
Serves families of children with disabilities ages birth through 26. CPRC has an extensive collection of parent resources, and these resources can be borrowed free of charge.
Arkansas Parent Training and Information Center (PTI)
A statewide program operated through The Center for Exceptional Families. The purpose is to ensure that parents of children with disabilities receive training and information to help improve educational results for their children. professionals.

Arkansas Support Network’s Family Support Program
Provides flexible, individualized support for families. Their goal is to provide assistance and supports which enable children with disabilities to live in their homes and participate in the life of their community.
Arkansas Disability Coalition (ADC) is a statewide organization that assists families and individuals with all types of disabilities, providing health-related support, information, resources and training.
Arkansas Family-2-Family Health Information Center
An outreach program though the Arkansas Disability Coalition that assists families of children and youth with special care needs (CYSHCN) and the professionals who serve them. Regional coordinators have first-hand experience in navigating the maze of health care services and programs for CYSHCN in Arkansas.
The goals of the program are to empower families who are pregnant and parenting to provide a healthy, nurturing and stimulating environment for their children, create positive family relationships, improve parent-child interactions, and support the child’s social emotional well-being. Once a family is referred for services, parent educators reach out to learn more about their current needs.
