Community Connections

Community Connections is a non-profit organization that was created with the goal of helping families address various health, developmental, and social needs by offering comprehensive programs and services, such as extra-curricular activities, family support groups, and respite events.

Miracle League Arkansas

The Miracle League removes the barriers that keep children with mental and physical disabilities off the baseball field and lets them experience the joy of America’s favorite pastime. Miracle League teams play on a custom-designed field with cushioned synthetic turf that accommodates wheelchairs and other assistive devices while helping to prevent injuries.

Special Olympics Arkansas

The mission of Special Olympics Arkansas is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for all children and adults with intellectual disabilities giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.

Camp Aldersgate

Camp Aldersgate Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving individuals aged 6-40 with special needs in a camp environment. Located in the heart of Little Rock, Camp Aldersgate offers year-round programs, including summer camps, weekend retreats, and specialty camps.

Therapeutic Recreation Programs

The City of Little Rock’s Therapeutic Recreation program includes indoor and outdoor therapy and interventions to bring about positive changes in individuals with disabilities.

Arkansas State Parks

Arkansas State Parks provides a guide to the accessibility levels of Arkansas State Parks facilities by labeling facilities as accessible, reasonably accessible, or inaccessible.

Ability Tree

Ability Tree supports families impacted by disability through R.E.S.T. (Recreation, Education, Support, and Training). Ability Tree’s R.E.S.T. Center in Siloam Springs provides respite nights, after school care, sports, art classes, and more.

99 Balloons

99 Balloons, based in Fayetteville, serves families experiencing disability by providing respite nights, training, and resources. 99 Balloon’s rEcess program is a holistic model of ministry that serves the entire family experiencing disability through a respite night.

Macaroni KID

Macaroni KID is a free weekly newsletter and website with local events, activities, summer camps, and more. Visit your community’s hyper-local website by selecting your town. 

Accessibility Across Arkansas

Accessibility Across Arkansas is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing access to outdoor recreation in Arkansas.

Little Rock Zoo

The Little Rock Zoo is committed to creating an experience that can be enjoyed by everyone! Our commitment to accessibility means that our facilities are designed to accommodate guests of all abilities. From wheelchair-accessible pathways to sensory-friendly exhibits, we aim to create an inclusive environment for everyone.

Morgan’s Wonderland

Morgan’s Wonderland is an accessibility focused theme park located in San Antonio, TX, featuring 25 accessible attractions, sprawled across a 25-acre oasis of inclusion. From a wheelchair-accessible Ferris wheel to catch-and-release fishing, there is truly something for everyone to enjoy!

Silver Dollar City

At Silver Dollar City, we strive to provide an inclusive experience for all guests and hosts, regardless of their abilities. The website includes downloadable accessibility guides and information on our physical, visual, hearing, cognitive, and dietary accessibility offerings, services, and supports at Silver Dollar City.

Disney Disability Access Service (DAS)

Disney Parks have an unwavering commitment to providing a welcoming, inclusive environment and accessible experiences for our Guests. DAS is one of the programs offered at Walt Disney World Resort theme parks intended to accommodate those Guests who, due to a developmental disability like autism or similar are unable to wait in a conventional queue for an extended period of time.
