Personalized Hip Care with Cutting Edge Technology
The young adult hip program at UAMS Health is a collaboration between a broad array of medical sub-specialists with experience in treatments for pediatric and young adult patients. Through physical therapy, image-guided injections, and judicious use of biologic therapies (i.e., platelet rich plasma), this clinic provides comprehensive management of hip pain with the goal to avoid surgery, but if needed, our team includes sports medicine, pediatric, and adult reconstruction (i.e., joint replacement) orthopaedic surgeons with experience and expertise in operative care.
Helping the Best Reach New Heights
UAMS Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine partners with Ballet Arkansas to provide a continuum of medical care for their dancer athletes. Optimal performance for these artistic athletes requires incredible mental and physical strength. The UAMS Health athletic trainers and physical therapists drive individualized, data-driven performance assessments and timely maintenance care to mitigate injuries. When injuries happen, a collaborative approach with fellowship-trained, world-class orthopaedic surgeons and sports medicine physicians ensures a safe return to dance.
