PGY1 Application Process

Application Requirements

Applicants must possess a Doctor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) from an American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) accredited college/school of pharmacy. The applicant must also be eligible for licensure in the state of Arkansas.

Applicants must submit the following documents via PhORCAS by January 2:

  • CV
  • Transcript from school/college of pharmacy
  • 3 references – additional references not required and WILL NOT be reviewed
    • At least 2 of the 3 references must be from APPE preceptors, able to speak to problem-solving in direct patient care experiences (not classroom).
    • References MUST comment on the following characteristics:
      • Oral Communication; Organization & Time Management; Ability to prioritize & meet deadlines; Ability to work with peers; Problem-solving; Dependability; Independence and resourcefulness; and Ability to accept constructive criticism.
  • Supplemental application (in place of a Letter of Intent; please upload in the Letter of Intent section in PhORCAS)
