Vaccination Requirements

A vaccination is the administration of a vaccine to help the immune system develop immunity from a disease.

Doing Our Part

In order for us to ensure the safety and health of our employees, patients and visitors, all students and employees must be fully vaccinated. This is one proven way to slow the spread of highly communicable, and potentially deadly viruses and diseases. Together, we can do our part to protect those around us.

Timing

UAMS Employees

Prior to your first day of employment, you must be vaccinated against COVID‑19. Additionally, a review of your immunizations and a health screening must be conducted by Student and Employee Health Services within 30 days of employment.

Non-Employees

Prior to arrival on campus, you must be vaccinated against COVID‑19 and a review of your immunizations and a health screening must have been conducted by Student and Employee Health Services.

Non-employees are defined as non-UAMS workers, contractors, visiting students, visiting faculty, pharmaceutical representatives, traveling nurses, locum tenens physicians, custodians, and employees of businesses who work on a UAMS campus.

Students

Prior to enrollment, you must be vaccinated against COVID‑19 and a review of your immunizations and a health screening must have been conducted by Student and Employee Health Services.
