Donor Milk to Grow: Outpatient Milk for Use at Home

Welcome to Parenthood – Congratulations on Your New Baby!

The arrival of your little one is an exciting and joyful time, and we understand that it can also bring some questions—especially when it comes to feeding your baby. If you’ve chosen to breastfeed, you’re giving your baby the best possible start in life. Not only does breastfeeding provide essential nutrients, but it also supports your own health and recovery as a new mom.

In the first few days, it’s completely normal for your milk supply to take time to fully come in. During this transition, many new moms wonder if their baby is getting enough to eat. Rest assured, you’re not alone in feeling this way.

When You Need a Little Extra Support

Sometimes, your baby may need a small amount of extra nutrition while your milk supply increases. This could be for reasons like low blood sugar, being born a bit smaller, or simply because your body is adjusting to producing more milk.

If your baby’s doctor recommends adding a little extra nutrition, we’re here to help. Our Donor Milk to Grow Program provides safe, carefully screened, and pasteurized donor human milk. This milk is offered in small amounts—usually less than half an ounce after a breastfeed—giving your baby the extra support they need while your milk supply continues to grow.

Why Choose Donor Milk to Grow?

  • Safe and Tested: All of our donor milk is pasteurized and thoroughly tested to ensure it’s safe for your baby.
  • Gentle Supplementation: Donor milk can be used in small amounts to provide the extra nutrition your baby might need during those early days.
  • Support Your Breastfeeding Journey: While you work with a lactation professional to build your milk supply, donor milk can offer peace of mind and extra nourishment.

How It Works

Once you and your baby’s doctor agree that donor milk is the right option, we’re here to provide it. Simply fill out the form on the link below to get started. You can choose to pick up the milk directly at the UAMS Milk Bank, or if it’s more convenient, we can ship it directly to you (shipping fees apply).
