About Dr. Ahmadi
Shahryar Ahmadi, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Director of the Shoulder and Elbow Surgery Center at UAMS. He specializes in complex shoulder and elbow surgeries, and is one of only a few surgeons in Arkansas who performs outpatient minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures.
Dr. Ahmadi received his medical degree from the Tehran University of Medicine Sciences in 1994 and completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Toronto, Canada in 2010. He completed a fellowship in adult reconstruction and shoulder and elbow surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota in 2012. Dr. Ahmadi holds patents in both the United States and Canada for devices used in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgeries.
Dr. Ahmadi is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) and has been voted the “Best Doctors in America” for last 5 years.
