Clinical Biography
Marielie “Heidi” Agesilas, M.D., is a member of the UAMS Family Medicine Residency Program’s Class of 2014. Originally from Puerto Rico, Agesilas joined the UAMS Northwest Regional Campus faculty upon graduation from our program and has been a staple on our team ever since.
Agesilas plays the violin and the viola. She enjoys traveling, spending time with friends, arts and crafts, investing time reading good books, listening to thriller audiobooks, autobiographies and podcasts. She is bilingual and has basic knowledge of French. She has also traveled extensively.

Everything was timely. Lab results came back very quick. Specialist referrals were taken care quickly and have been able to set up already. Staff was great!

It is quite typical that you fill out a ton of forms, you speak to a nurse very openly and then these efforts go pretty much unnoticed. I don't think I have ever been to any health provider where it seemed like the doctors had collected any information from nurses. I'm not sure this is the fault of anyone in particular since it seems universal. There must be a systemic reason I'm not aware of.

Hi. This is [PATIENT NAME]. I just wanted to say that I very much appreciate the nurse. She always listens to me. She has definite great care and goes over medications and all that stuff and then the doctor, it's the first time seeing her, and I will definitely appreciate seeing her again. So, thank you. Yes, I still have some questions, but I'll be taking care of that by sending her a message, in reference to test results, that's where my questions are.
