About Dr. Baljevic
Clinical Biography
Dr. Muhamed Baljevic focuses on the clinical and research care of all plasma cell-related disorders and malignancies, notably including all premalignant versions of plasma cell disorders and all stages of multiple myeloma cancer. He also specializes in the care of all versions of light chain amyloidosis, both localized and systemic. As a cellular therapist, Dr. Baljevic delivers bone marrow transplant therapy, as well as all types of standard-of-care and research-related CAR T, antibody-based (including bispecific and trispecific), and other forms of tumor-directed, cellular, immune, and molecular therapies.
His mission is to deliver compassionate, evidence-based, “leave-no-stone-unturned” care to all his patients and their families, guided by the core principles that it is not cancer until proven otherwise, that if it is a cancer it is curable until proven otherwise, that if it is not curable it is treatable until proven otherwise, and that if it is not treatable, one can always treat and support the patient and family.
In his other professional and institutional roles, Dr. Baljevic’s driving and core purpose is to ensure that every Arkansan patient suffering from any cancer or related disorder finds compassionate, cutting-edge, standard, and/or research care under the hospitable umbrella of UAMS and the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute, receiving it close to home within the state of Arkansas.
