Academic Biography
Megan Shirey, O.D., FAAO is a native of Magnolia, Arkansas.
She attended Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi, receiving a Bachelor of Science in biology prior to pursuing her Doctor of Optometry at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. She completed her residency in primary care and ocular disease at the Veterans Healthcare System of the Ozarks in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
She is a member of the American Academy of Optometry, Arkansas Optometric Association, and American Optometric Association.

As a new patient with this clinic, I was a little nervous, but I have to admit that the staff from the front desk all the way to the tech that took me to the back and meeting Dr. Shirey, they were all very friendly and helpful as well as considerate to me. And Dr. Shirey, she answered all of... Dr. Megan, she answered all of my questions. She explained everything to me thoroughly. I actually had an overall great experience, so I would be looking forward to coming back to see her in the near future.

The front desk was rude when I asked where to check out and didn't give me the glasses I had asked for after having my eyes dilated. It was super bright outside and really hard to see without them.

I'm not sure if I would let anyone do surgery on my eye, I was told that Megan Shirey only has 8years of experience.
