Clinical Biography
Kathryn Nance, M.D., joined UAMS in December 2020. Prior to joining UAMS, she worked as a sports medicine physician in Conway, Arkansas. She previously served as a team physician for Texas Christian University Athletics, Texas Wesleyan University Athletics, Bowie High School and South Hills High School in Texas.

I feel like the doctor, if they know their patient very well and they have a medical history of chronic pain, then they should know if a patient is faking their illness or they're not. With my experience, I could tell, like, the doctor was saying, like, it felt like that she didn't believe me that I was in pain. So I feel like the doctor says, see, once a patient has a medical history of chronic pain like I do, they should automatically recommend the patient to go to therapy and start off with therapy first. And also, or ask them if they want to go to therapy or treat them with some kind of relief for their pain before they come back from surgery.
