About Dr. Riley

Clinical Biography

Dr. Julie M. Riley is a fellowship-trained endourologist who is becoming a national thought leader in the treatment and prevention of kidney stones. Her expertise and experience have already enabled UAMS Health to offer the latest minimally invasive techniques and technology to patients with even the most complex stones. Endourology is a subspecialty of urology in which minimally invasive techniques are used to inspect the urinary tract and perform surgery.

Clinical Focus

Complex kidney stone disease; surgical and medical management of nephrolithiasis; renal and ureteral reconstruction; benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH); renal cancer; and renal obstruction

Academic Biography

Dr. Julie M. Riley is an associate professor and the residency program director in the UAMS Department of Urology.

She came to UAMS from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, where she was an associate professor, director of endourology and stone disease, and UNM lead renal transplant listing surgeon. She also served as chair of the Surgical Services Oversight Committee and as executive surgeon of surgical services.

Provider wouldn't listen to patient or family member. Prescribed course of treatment that required home health even when told home health could not come daily as required.
