About Dr. Gross

Clinical Biography

Dr. Gross is a pediatric orthopaedic surgeon at Arkansas Children’s Hospital (ACH) and assistant professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).  He specializes in complex deformities of the spine in pediatric populations.

Dr. Gross graduated cum laude with a degree in biology from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California in 2010, where he was the recipient of the National Science Foundation Scholarship.  He received his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine in 2015, earning Deans list recognition during all four years of his medical education. After medical school, Dr. Gross completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at New York Medical College in 2020, followed by an orthopaedic/spine deformity fellowship in 2021 at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles/University of Southern California.

Dr. Gross provides surgical and nonsurgical treatment at Arkansas Children’s Hospital and Arkansas Children’s Hospital Northwest for a wide variety of pediatric spinal conditions. His training in spinal deformities has given him unique experience in treating scoliosis, congenital deformities, and other complex spinal conditions.

Dr. Gross is actively involved in research and has several journal publications.  He has also presented at numerous professional society meetings and national conferences.  Dr. Gross volunteered for an International Orthopaedic/General Surgery Externship in Ahmedabad, India in 2015, in addition to serving as a Flying Samaritans Medical Volunteer for the Gold Coast Chapter in San Quintin, Mexico, and an Operation Crossroads Africa Medical Volunteer in Tanzania, Africa.

Dr. Gross enjoys traveling, hiking, snowboarding, and other outdoor activities.  He has backpacked through 60+ countries and climbed to Mt. Everest Base Camp in 2015.
