About Dr. Mizell
Clinical Biography
Jason Mizell, M.D., enjoys teaching medical students and residents, and has won a number of awards for his teaching. In addition to his teaching, Dr. Mizell was director surgical education for medical students for 10 years, and now is the director of the Transitional Year residency program. This position allows him to direct and instruct medical students during their surgical rotation.
Mizell married his wife in 2000 and they have three young children. The family is very active in their local church, and have participated in medical mission trips to Mexico, Turkey and Cambodia to help with medical and spiritual needs.
